Features of PETG plastic:
- The ability to create fully transparent products
- Resistant to organic solvents, acids and alkalis
- Wear resistance
- Thermal resistance. PETG is able to withstand temperatures in the range from -40°C to 75°C
- PETG behaves well when grinding, priming and painting.
When using this plastic, the same print settings as for PLA plastic are used. To achieve full transparency, it is recommended to use 100% filling.
This is a modified version of the famous engineering plastic PET. By adding glycol to the base material, an entirely new material with different properties is obtained at the outlet. Also, this material is more durable, heat-resistant and durable than plastic PET. Although on properties it is closer to ABS threads, working with PETG is as easy as with PLA plastic.
